General Manager Job Summary

• Manage, coach, recognize performance, and direct activities for Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Crew members to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
• Measure, create, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Coordinate and implement new product introductions and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security, food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain cost controls and meet sales/profit goals.
• Administer records and procedures including payroll, inventories, security, and employee files.
• Lead the restaurant management team in recruitment, hiring, retention, employee relations, and corrective actions.
• Promote a respectful and diverse workplace environment.

Requirements

• Experience: Must be an EPL Assistant Manager or have at least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a restaurant. Familiarity with Point-Of-Sale systems is desired.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; college education is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills; second language is a plus.
• Competencies: Basic math and computer skills, strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Driving/Vehicle: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Food Handler Card: Must have or obtain a Serve Safe Certificate and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit where applicable.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs regularly, and occasionally handle objects up to 40 lbs.

Job Details

• Work Hours: Full-Time, may include any shift (opening, mid-day, closing). Restaurants are not open 24 hours.
• Career Advancement: Opportunities to grow into roles such as Area Leader and Director of Operations.
• Work Attire: EPL logo shirt provided, black slacks, and no-slip shoes required.

The pay range listed is the expected hourly or salary rate; actual pay may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors. Benefits and bonuses are not included in this range.
