Job Title: Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance (Contract)

Location: Los Angeles County, CA

Job Type: Contract (Full-Time, with potential to convert)

Pay Rate: $67.00/hr. - $75.00/hr. (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 8 AM – 5 PM (Onsite)

Reports To: Director of Quality

Company Overview:

Our client is a science-backed skincare company dedicated to reversing the signs of aging with clinically proven products. As we scale up our operations and prepare to launch manufacturing at our Cerritos facility, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance to develop and implement a world-class Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing the company's Quality Management System. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on professional with deep experience in regulated environments such as personal care, OTC, or cosmetics manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be confident in identifying quality gaps, building compliant processes, and mentoring internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current quality practices and identify process, documentation, and compliance gaps
  • Develop and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet regulatory standards
  • Draft, implement, and maintain SOPs, validation protocols, and quality documentation
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs)
  • Mentor and support Quality and Production staff
  • Lead the development of validation programs to ensure consistent product quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Production, and Regulatory teams

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in Personal Care, OTC, or Cosmetics industries
  • Proven success in building or significantly improving QMS in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Experience developing SOPs, protocols, and compliance documentation
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer tools and software (Word, Excel, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field

Work Environment & Flexibility:

  • This is a part-time, onsite contract position (15–20 hours/week), with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity
  • Candidate must be available to work during standard business hours (8 AM – 5 PM)
  • Brief initial training period; candidate should be able to work independently from the start
