Responsible for employee onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, coaching/performance management, legal/compliance and absence management. Working with the VP of HR, develops departmental goals and objectives; establishes, implements and maintains policies and procedures for department orientation.2. Directs HR Relationship Managers to ensure consistent, streamlined practices across divisions; identifies best practices for process improvement within HR.3. Oversees all aspects of the Employee Relations program through the application of HR programs, policies, procedures and practices utilizing the fair treatment, investigatory, corrective action and conflict resolution processes ultimately ensuring employees and management are advised, counseled and coached fairly and consistently about issues pertaining to corrective action, separation agreements, layoffs, job eliminations and involuntary terminations; investigates, provides guidance and ensures preparation of documentation for sexual harassment or hostile work environment issues for management action.4. Advises and guides management in interpretation and application of personnel policies, statutory regulations and programs to ensure the effective use of human resources is consistent with organization objectives and goals.5. Oversees the onboarding, offboarding and front desk functions, including file maintenance, to ensure a smooth and efficient application/hiring process.6. Oversees risk management in the investigation, coordination and preparation of all necessary information required in civil/legal matters as requested, including the coordination and representation of Eisenhower Medical Center (EMC) at unemployment hearings.7. Remains abreast of internal issues and changing needs of the organization that might affect employee morale such as through hospital rounding and surveying staff for retention barriers.8. Analyzes trends in turnover and vacancy by department; works with management and others to make positive impact on retention; reports quarterly to Leadership Team.9. Prepares and is accountable for department budget for areas of responsibility.10. Ensures organizational compliance with all HR Joint Commission and Title 22 standards; ensures annual readiness binders are compliant11. Ensures data integrity and maintenance of department protocols to ensure best practices and quality standards.12. Oversees the exit interview process through vendor; analyzes trends, makes recommendations and reports findings to Executive Leadership Team and Leadership Team on a quarterly basis; develops retention plans in partnership with appropriate leaders.13. Collaborates with HRIS, Recruitment and Compensation to identify areas of improvement and growth.14. Oversees other key projects, programs and initiatives including, but not limited to General Orientation, handbook revisions, employee engagement survey, mandatory training modules, annual HR retreat and disaster readiness.15. Reviews, revises and drafts administrative policies and procedures as necessary.16. Provides support in the absence of the VP of HR.17.
