Summary:

Coordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. This role involves performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Inspects property and evaluates use of space and facilities.
  • Analyzes HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other factors.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
  • Performs audits to support facility planning.
  • Develops long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements and documentation for facilities.
  • Formulates and coordinates program specifications, proposal requirements, contracts, and related documents.
  • Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Oversees building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
  • Supervises maintenance personnel engaged in equipment installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Performs other duties as assigned and assumes special projects as directed.

This position's duties may change, expand, reduce, or be deleted to meet business needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages two or more subordinate supervisors overseeing a total of 40+ employees in Maintenance and Outside Services Departments. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation, ensuring responsibilities are carried out per policies and laws.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 7-10 years of experience and/or training with increasing responsibility.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
  • Effective in presenting information and responding to groups of managers, vendors, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to analyze data for reports.
  • Proficient with computer-based time, attendance, inventory, and job systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • OSHA Certified
  • General licenses in Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, high altitudes, precarious places, extreme temperatures, and electrical shock risk. Casino or Bowling Center employees may be exposed to second-hand smoke and noise.
