Are you a results-driven executive with a proven track record of successfully leading complex project pursuits and fostering strong client relationships? As a Large Projects Executive, you will oversee large and mega projects from conception through to execution and serve as the project lead for both sole Flatiron ventures and joint venture partnerships. You will have the opportunity to contribute to overall company and project direction across various heavy civil works such as rail, transit, highways, bridges, dams, and aviation, across our growing portfolio of collaborative and alternative delivery projects.

What You Will Be Doing

1. Collaborate with Business Development, District, and Division Managers in identifying key project pursuits.
2. Support development of winning strategies, participate in team selection, client meetings, and negotiations.
3. Lead or support pursuit efforts to develop compelling proposals aligned with company goals.
4. Oversee transition from estimating to project execution, including resource allocation, budgeting, and startup.
5. Manage client relations, fostering a partnership environment, and ensuring contractual and commercial compliance.
6. Coordinate within the project team, including joint venture partners, designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
7. Enforce safety and quality plans, ensuring compliance and reporting standards are met.
8. Provide technical and contractual guidance to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
9. Monitor and report on project financial health, including safety, quality, risk, profitability, and cash flow.
10. Manage project risks, assessing impacts and implementing mitigation strategies.
11. Ensure accurate coding of costs and quantities for financial reporting.
12. Maximize positive cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.

What We Are Looking For

• 20+ years' experience in heavy civil construction, with 15+ years managing complex transportation and civil projects, including risk management.
• Successful track record on projects over $400m in value preferred.
• Experience with alternative delivery methods like design-build, CMGC, and CMAR.
• Broad experience in heavy civil sectors such as highway, transit, and aviation.
• PE license (or ability to obtain) preferred.
• Strong financial oversight skills, ability to manage project risks and stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict management skills.

Salary Range: USD $250,000 - $290,000 per year.

Vehicle Program: Personal Vehicle Allowance Tier III: $1,150 USD/month.
