Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager to join the Rack Solutions team. This role requires a strong focus on customer engagement, cross-functional leadership, and supporting innovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with internal teams and external partners to drive complex projects from concept to delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Lead and manage key customer-facing projects within the rack solution team
• Collaborate with sales and FAE teams to understand customer requirements and define project scopes
• Partner with design engineers and project managers to develop design proposals and delivery plans
• Coordinate with purchasing teams and suppliers to ensure timely material readiness
• Work with integration and production teams on prototyping and mass production timelines
• Oversee project schedules and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
• Participate in customer and internal meetings to communicate project progress and resolve issues
• Drive process improvements and support innovation initiatives across the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in project or program management
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and deployment
• Familiarity with PMP, Agile methodologies, product development cycles, and Six Sigma principles
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a focus on customer engagement
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex business initiatives

Salary Range

$207,000 - $229,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
