Weekly Pay Rate: $2600 - $2800

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (1730-0500); Friday-Sunday

Job Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Note: Only accepting candidate within 45-miles from the facility.

Job Description:
We are searching for a skilled and dependable MRI technologist to join our medical team. The MRI technologist will be responsible for operating MRI equipment and creating scans as per the physicians' directions, screening patients and explaining procedures to them, and inspecting and troubleshooting equipment.

Requirements:

  • At least two years radiological experience in an acute care hospital
  • Including critical or proficiency in one of the following imaging related modalities:CT, MRI or Special Procedures.
  • Venipuncture certification preferred.
  • MRI certification, CRT if technologist performs CT scans.
  • ARRT, BLS required.

Duties:

  • Assists in other areas of department as assigned and takes additional procedures during periods of heavy workload.
  • Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigation.
  • Participates in pertinent continuing education programs and other appropriate learning experiences for professional growth and development.
  • Provides support based on the age of the patient and family, explains procedures, answers questions, utilizes appropriate distraction techniques and maximizes the patient's comfort level during the procedure.
  • Provides accurate and thorough documentation in the computer system
  • Stocks assigned procedure room on a daily basis and submits timely requests for needed supplies.
  • Moves patient appropriately from Gurney to Table and from table to Gurney.
