We are seeking an experiencedMicrosoft Access Satabase Developer to design, develop, and maintain database solutions that use Microsoft Access (both 32-bit and 64-bit, withinMicrosoft 365). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Access database solutions, including VBA programming, and performance tuning.

This role is vital to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our existing and future Microsoft Access-based application systems. Youll also be expected to integrate Microsoft Access with other 365 applications and provide documentation and ongoing support.

Create and maintain database structures including tables, relationships, and data types

Define normalization, indexing, and storage strategies to ensure efficient data handling

Query Development

Develop and optimize queries for data retrieval, filtering, analysis, and manipulation

Form and Report Development

Design intuitive forms for data entry and generate clear, actionable reports for users

VBA Programming

Write and maintain VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) scripts to automate workflows and enhance user experience

Data Integrity and Validation

Implement rules and controls to ensure data accuracy and consistency

Performance Optimization

Identify and resolve performance issues across complex Microsoft Access database systems

Integration with Other Systems

Integrate Microsoft Access database with external systems such as Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and cloud services as needed

Testing and Debugging

Perform thorough testing and resolve errors or bugs in a timely manner

Documentation

Create and maintain user guides, technical specifications, and troubleshooting resources

Maintenance and Support

Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements or updates as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Access database applications

5 years experience integrating Microsoft Access with Microsoft 365 tools like Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook

Strong knowledge of VBA and relational database concepts

Familiarity with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Access within Microsoft 365

Comfortable working in various versions of Windows

Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Exposure to back-end systems such as SQL Server or cloud-based databases

Ability to manage multiple databases and prioritize tasks effectively
