Overview
Director, Specialty Pharma Programs (Remote) will manage a team of program managers and oversee MHAs Specialty Pharma Programs that support MHAs specialty, biosimilar, and brand portfolios, leveraging expertise in strategic contracting and client development to drive newopportunities, revenue, and contract performance. The role includes expanding, launching, and growing MHAs specialty data programs in the evolving GPO spaces. The Director will foster collaborative leadership within the Trade Group and organization, promoting a culture of urgency, quality, customerservice, and growth in alignment with MHAs mission and goals.
What Youll Be Doing
- Strategic Planning
- Manage a team of program managers to optimize and grow MHAs specialty data programs.
- Work across MHAs trade relations team to identify and drive new specialty data program opportunities with life science partners.
- Collaborate with MHAs Developer and IT teams to enhance data collection processes and outcomes for GPO members.
- Develop and implement new pricing models to drive growth and economics.
- Specialty Data Program Management
- Provide management and support within MHAs specialty, biosimilar, and brand pharmaceutical programs, including developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and contracted relationships with manufacturers and other partners.
- Design and grow REMS programs to ensure FDA compliance with specialty pharma requirements.
- Design and grow additional specialty data programs including Injection Network programs, Patient Journey programs, and/or Therapy Compliance programs.
- Relationship Management
- Deliver strategic presentations to business partners and industry leaders on contract performance, growth opportunities, and market trends.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and other key partners.
- Manage business development opportunities by expanding current relationships and targeting new product or partner pipelines.
- Process Optimization
- Evaluate all elements of the pharmaceutical portfolio process and work with the Trade team to create efficiencies to maximize the organizations short and long-term performance.
- Work cross-functionally with trade, clinical, contract operations, IT, legal, and marketing to ensure systems and processes are aligned with evolving specialty contract requirements.
- Partner with Business Analytics on the development and delivery of market insights that inform payer and provider customer strategies, tactics, and product forecasts.
- Communications

- Quickly assimilate into MHAs culture, reinforce core values, and provide change leadership as needed.
What Youll Bring to the Table
- Bachelors Degree
- 8-10+ years of healthcare-related operating experience, preferably in large-scale, specialty contracting, strategic account management and/or other relevant product contracting settings.
- Healthcare experience could include any number of segments including pharmacy, biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, data aggregation, pharmacy benefit management, distribution, and group purchasing.
- Experience designing REMS programs for FDA compliance.
- Familiarity with contract procedures and experience working on legal aspects of negotiation process.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain, from manufacturer to pharmacy.
- Relationship building and maintenance skills, both with external and internal partners.
- A proven track record of success in the executive management of contracting and supply chain processes from top to bottom.
- Current or prior experience as a trade relations executive with demonstrated success in strategic visioning and execution, marketing, integration, and customer service.
- Proven history managing a business development process, which will include a net revenue line, across a complex matrixed environment.
- Strong contract negotiating skills that have involved the utilization of well-developed analytical performance improvement and process improvement/measurement principles.

Salary
The salary range for this role is $132,561 - $192,213.

Remote as directed by your manager.
