Overview

Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP Basis Consultant. This position requires an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose, and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Location of the requirement is Foster City, CA. The role may require travel to project/client location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on Experience as a SAP BASIS consultant, built and ran SAP environments at On-premises and Cloud environments.
• Work with SAP and Implementation partner to understand latest technical solutions and deploy fit for purpose solutions that are scalable and meet performance requirements.
• Define and deliver ERP technical requirements and ensure these are scoped appropriately within projects.
• Strong Networking knowledge to manage the SAP environments in DMZ using internal and external resources, nurturing talent that is able to deliver solutions securely using SAP Certified SSL capabilities.
• Stay abreast of latest industry and technology trends to ensure client takes advantage of latest innovation.
• Responsible for ensuring solutions are built, tested and cutover into production environments.
• Provide IT support for delivered solutions, intervene to get the right solution deployed at customer SAP estate.
• Manages team of hands-on technical resources that deliver and support solutions.
• Puts in place strong governance process to maintain integrity of the solution, minimizing customizations.
• Manage to agree budgets, driving value out of software and services contracts.
• Deliver to agreed scope. Ensure scope is controlled through effective program governance.
• Associate with Business Solution Architects to promote standard, out-of-box solutions to be adopted.
• Ensure quality meets compliance requirements.
• Strong technical hands-on SAP HANA Implementation exposure with emphasis on Service Operations for smooth transition to operations.
• Proven track record with 15+ years delivering in complex ERP environments; experience as Solution Architect for SAP S/4HANA, B/4HANA implementations.
• Landscape Management (public & private cloud), Transport Management, Patching, Upgrades, cybersecurity, Solution Manager, Technical Monitoring, Capacity Management and sizing; strong hands-on experience in HANA, MaxDB and Sybase.
• S/4HANA implementation or conversion experience; S/4HANA, OS/DB migration certifications.
• Able to manage senior stakeholders up to Director level.
• Experience managing large technical teams in multinational projects with internal, 3rd party and external partners.
• Ability to influence and lead within a matrix IT/Business environment to shape and deliver the business plan and roadmap, collaborating with leadership teams.
• Ability to develop sustainable relationships with key senior stakeholders and network within IT and business environments.
• International team management and ability to coordinate cultural differences.
• Experience implementing S/4HANA, B/4HANA, Central Finance, Ariba and SAP Hybris (C/4HANA).
• Good knowledge of IT business processes in deploying SAP solutions.
