Description:

Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. The district currently operates fourteen elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and one adult school. Under direction, performs food preparation to include baking, frying, cooking, heating and serving duties to students and staff; maintains and cleans equipment and work area according to established sanitation standards and regulations; and, inspects food items to monitor quality and quantity. Education: High School Diploma or the Equivalent Experience: One (1) year experience in food preparation, serving and basic kitchen activities. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and /or Testing: *State-accepted Food Safety Certificate (must be uploaded to application) SEE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
