The Receiver is responsible for receiving all incoming product, in good conditions and proper traceability to Ocean Mist Farms facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility of processing all product deliveries
• Process deliveries in a timely manner with full attention to detail and abiding by receiving procedures
• Break down and organize designated loads
• Maintain receiving area in a neat, clean, organized and safe manner
• Document product transfers
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
• Operate all equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Know and practice proper lifting techniques
• Report all accidents and injuries to team leader immediately
• Effectively communicate with team Members regarding receiving and department operations
• Attend all department, training meetings when scheduled
• Answer department telephone calls and pages with proper etiquette
• Develop working knowledge of all outside company's products
• Verification of each delivery and variances noted on a worksheet
• Follow through with correcting discrepancies using proper procedure
• Assist in stacking of product
• File all completed paperwork in designated area
• Responsible for proper dress code, including non-slip shoes, during each work shift
• Other duties as assigned

• High school graduate / GED preferred
• 2 years minimum experience in Agriculture Cooling, Receiving and Shipping
• Working knowledge of computers & software as utilized in the Cooler environment such as: Microsoft operating system, Famous software, alligator tech and food link software
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred
• Previous Agricultural experience preferred
• Basic math and reading skills
• Previous forklift driving experience desired
• Strong interpersonal skills including; ability to maintain effective working relationships with Employees, Peers, Supervisors vendors and customers
• Ability to work in ever -changing, fast - paced environment
• Ability to learn new duties with minimal repetition
• Strong knowledge of good manufacturing practices
• Must be available to work weekends and different scheduled hours every week
