Job Overview

We seek an experienced and hands‑on Human Resources Director to partner with operations and lead HR strategy across our hotel portfolio. This role will manage employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and process improvement, driving staff engagement and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Business partner to Operations providing HR expertise in employee relations and practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements to manage employees, reduce legal risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as policy expert, supporting Operations in adherence to company policies, processes, and practices.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct thorough, objective investigations.
  • Lead recruiting and talent management efforts; train managers to recruit and assess talent consistently.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new managers and oversee all employee status changes (promotions, pay changes, transfers, leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, off‑boarding, unemployment matters).
  • Analyze trends and metrics with HR function to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Provide day‑to‑day performance‑management guidance and consultation (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Deliver HR training to Operations as defined by HR and Operations.
  • Partner closely with Operations to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and boost employee retention.
  • Provide guidance on business‑unit restructures, workforce planning, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of HR program success; follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Actively participate in HR meetings to ensure deployment and process consistency across the field.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years progressive HR generalist experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines (recruiting, talent management, training, compensation, performance management, culture development, employee and union relations, federal/state employment laws).
  • Multi‑unit hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS, preferably ADP.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
