Job Summary
The Pool Server provides gracious, attentive service to guests at the Ingleside Estate Pool, offering food and beverage selections that reflect the estate's relaxed elegance and timeless charm. With a focus on personalized hospitality and guest satisfaction, the Pool Server anticipates needs, maintains a polished presence, and ensures a memorable poolside experience in line with Proper Hospitality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Greet guests warmly and guide them through the poolside menu with detailed knowledge of offerings.
* Take and deliver accurate food and beverage orders in a timely, courteous manner.
* Set up, maintain, and break down the poolside service area daily, including prepping stations, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness.
* Monitor guest needs proactively, offering refills, adjustments, or enhancements without being prompted.
* Maintain cleanliness of poolside tables, chairs, cabanas, and service areas throughout shift.
* Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly.
* Operate point-of-sale system efficiently for order entry and payment processing.
* Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service protocols in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
* Uphold Proper Hospitality's standards for service, appearance, and professionalism at all times.
* A key requirement for this role is punctuality, including showing up on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work, and adhering to all rest and meal break standards as well as the company's attendance policy.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous food & beverage experience, preferably in a poolside, resort, or outdoor dining setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, guest-centric demeanor.
* Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
* Knowledge of basic food and beverage safety and serving protocols.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler's card and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certification through
Physical Requirements
* Ability to walk, stand, and carry trays for extended periods, often outdoors in warm weather.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
* Comfortable working in direct sun and poolside conditions.
* Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing stairs may be required.
