The City of Beaumont is seeking enthusiastic women and men interested in pursuing a career in Public Safety. Under general supervision, a Reserve Police Officer performs tasks and duties related to the protection of public health, safety and welfare, and enforcement of applicable state and local laws; provides traffic enforcement and control; carries out special assignments in a phase of police work; performs other related duties as required under the supervision of a sworn Police Officer or higher-ranking officer.
Beaumont Reserve Police Unit was established to supplement and assist regular sworn police officers in their duties. This unit provides professional, sworn volunteer Reserve Police Officers who can augment regular police staffing levels.
You must submit copies of certifications with your online application. Compensation for Reserve Police Officers is provided in the form of a stipend. All Reserve Police Officer appointees are issued a firearm and designated safety equipment. Reserve Police Officers receive an annual uniform allowance of $600 when requirements have been met.
