Appliance Technician Opportunity

Appliance Service Plus is seeking an experienced appliance triage technician/parts coordinator. We are an established company authorized for most appliance brands including Bosch, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG, GE, Electrolux. This is a position for employment, not a subcontractor position.

Opportunity for an experienced appliance technician that no longer has the ability or desire to do in-home service but would like to use their years of knowledge to provide great service to our customers working from their home or our office triaging service requests, coordinating parts and tech support for field technicians.

Standard responsibilities include:

• Respond to requests for service from customers and manufacturers and provide over the phone and video triage of service requests.
• Competent use of computer and software.
• Research and order parts. Help with tech support for field techs.
• Provide excellent customer service and meet productivity goals.
• Perform all facets of employment in a safe and efficient manner for yourself, fellow employees, customers and general public.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform physical requirements of position including: sitting or standing at computer helping customers over the phone, email and text.

We provide the training, computer, software.

Requirements include:

• Enthusiastic, positive work attitude.
• Knowledgeable with ohm/amp meters, read and understand wiring diagrams, have EPA certification for sealed system.
• MINIMUM 1 YEAR IN HOME MAJOR APPLIANCE REPAIR EXPERIENCE including proficiency with sealed system repair.
• Pass drug tests, driving and background checks at time of hire and randomly during employment.
• Currently have and maintain an insurable California drivers license.
• Have good self-direction and motivation.
• Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays.

Work Location: In person or remote

There will be at least one Zoom interview along with various tests to determine knowledge, experience and mechanical ability. We may require an in-person interview and an in-person interview with a technician to determine field experience (the technician interview may be 4-8 hours long).
