ERCOT Transmission EMS/SCADA Control Center Leader

Texas based role - Hybrid Work Schedule & Relocation Assistance Available

Join a company on a mission to expand grid capacity and create a cleaner and stronger energy infrastructure in Texas with with addition of a EMS/SCADA Transmission Control Center Leader.

This role will help drive transmission control center operation plans in compliance with NERC and ERCOT reliability standards. It is a leadership role and the expectation is that the incumbent will have management experience building out or leading transmission control centers in ERCOT (Texas). However, similar experience in other ISOs/RTOs will be considered.

The company has a strong foundation and reputation of building energy infrastructure projects to support the grid in states like Texas. This includes transmission (t-line), regional control centers, and distribution systems with interconnects to various renewable energy technology platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transmission Control Center Leader / Transmission Operations Manager - Develop capital control center transmission operations and budget
• Transmission Control Center Leader / Transmission Operations Manager - Develop operations strategy that coincides with ERCOT and NERC reliability standards
• Transmission Control Center Leader / Transmission Operations Manager - Plan and implement contingency plans, emergency response, and system outages for operation of bulk electric system
• Transmission Control Center Leader / Transmission Operations Manager - Attend ERCOT meetings/work groups and provide testimony at regulatory and legal proceedings related to ERCOT and NERC filings

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
• 10 years of transmission operations, SCADA/EMS operations, or control center operations
• At least 5 years of transmission control center operations management
• Familiarity with Open Systems International (OSI) or GE Reliance SCADA/EMS
• Understanding of NERC and ERCOT reliability standards and policies
• EIdeal candidates may have held the following titles: Transmission Control Center Director, Transmission Market Operations Director, Transmission Grid Controller, Operations Control Center Leader, Sr. Transmission Grid Operations Manager, Sr. Control Room Operation Manager
