Director of Business Development - Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)
Reports To: VP of Business Development

Must reside in the United States and be close to a major airport for regular travel.

Why This Role Matters

We're growing - and we need a strategic business development leader who can open doors to new customers and capture large-scale EMS opportunities. As our Director of Business Development you'll be focusing entirely on new customer acquisition (not account management). You'll leverage your industry network, sharp market instincts, and deep EMS knowledge to win high-value programs and grow our customer base.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to identify, qualify, and close new OEM customers in Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors.
• Leverage your network and creative prospecting to generate $10M+ qualified opportunities.
• Win EMS business across PCBA, SMT, system integration, and full product manufacturing.
• Build executive-level relationships that position Spartronics as a trusted, long-term EMS partner.
• Represent Spartronics at key industry events, trade shows, and executive meetings.
• Collaborate internally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to craft tailored solutions for each client.

Requirements

What You Bring

• 10-15+ years of EMS business development experience with a strong record of winning new OEM accounts.
• Deep understanding of EMS capabilities and certifications (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, FDA/QSR, MDSAP, IPC, etc.).
• Experience selling into Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEMs.
• A strategic, disciplined approach to building pipelines, qualifying opportunities, and closing deals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred).
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, tours, and trade shows (passport required).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain - or equivalent EMS experience.

Salary Description

$140,000- $165,000/Annually plus commission
