SQL Developer

Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week in the NYC - Midtown office)

Eligibility: U.S. Green Card Holders or U.S. Citizens only

Contract: 6-9 month contract-to-hire

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with 7-10 years of professional experience,

ideally in a financial or insurance environment. This role will be a key part of the IT Finance

team, responsible for supporting and enhancing finance/reporting systems and operational

processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop & Support: Serve as a core developer for finance-related systems and processes.
• Database Solutions: Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex MS SQL queries,

stored procedures, and database solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Finance BAU Team Lead to learn and document

financial applications and workflows.
• Application Support: Provide ongoing support for finance systems, particularly for

monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Ownership of BAU Activities: Take charge of BAU projects, including development,

analysis, and unit testing.
• Learn & Document: Gain expertise in the Artemis application and its operational aspects.
• Reduce Dependency on External Contractors: Work toward becoming the primary

backup for key IT Finance processes, reducing reliance on external consultants.

Qualifications:
• Experience: 7-10 years of hands-on experience with SQL development, proficient in

Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL).
• Azure: Strong knowledge of Azure development tools and environment.
• Finance/Insurance Knowledge: Experience or understanding of Insurance

Accounting/Reconciliation is a plus.
• Learning Capability: Willingness to learn finance domain-specific applications and

processes.
• Skills:

o Strong documentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

o Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

o Excellent communication skills to collaborate across finance and IT teams.
