Our client, a prominent international AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented mid- to senior-level Associate Attorney to join their dynamic Energy & Natural Resources - Environmental Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity to advise clients on complex environmental, health, and safety matters across a variety of industries while working in a collaborative and high-impact practice.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
• 5-7 years of substantive experience in environmental, health, and safety law
• Experience advising clients on federal and state environmental compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
• Knowledge of environmental statutes, including CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act, and Clean Air Act, preferred
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations
• Represent clients in enforcement actions, administrative proceedings, and negotiations with regulatory agencies
• Support transactional and operational matters with environmental risk assessments and due diligence
• Draft, review, and negotiate environmental agreements, reports, and compliance documents
• Collaborate with internal and external teams, including engineers, consultants, and attorneys, to develop strategic solutions
• Provide guidance on environmental litigation and support administrative proceedings as necessary

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $295,000-$390,000, as determined by experience and market factors
