Urology Associate Sales Representative - This is an entry-level, field-based position. The ideal candidate must live in/near Austin, TX.

Myriad Urology is looking for a sales and account management professional who is passionate about improving patients' lives. As an Associate Sales Representative (ASR) - Urology, you will report to the Urology Area Manager. The ASR will act as the primary point of contact between your assigned area, customer service, and our strategic accounts, such as but not limited to Urologists and Interventional Radiologists. The ASR is involved in implementation, projects around optimization, and retention of key accounts to ensure our customers' positive experience and success.
As an ASR, you will also act as a partner to educate and advocate for customers within the organization to drive new functionality and process improvement. They will have a deep understanding of our accounts' needs and challenges and work with internal stakeholders to pre-empt any issues.
Key Functions
- Customer Account Retention: Partner with strategic accounts to ensure education, positive experiences, and strong relationships through proactive contact, reviews, and goal-setting. Periodic field travel for meetings and events is required.
- Customer Account Implementation: Participate in onboarding and service implementation, ensuring smooth workflows and provider education for long-term success.
- Customer Account Optimization: Drive account growth through efficient workflows, process improvements, tailoring approaches to each account's needs and helping develop new features and services.
- The ASR will demonstrate proficiency in 5 competencies: Account Knowledge, Scalable Solutions, Proactive Support, Effective Partnering, and Successful Onboarding.

- Task and Goal Achievement: Set and deliver on achievable milestones to support growth of the Urology Business Unit.

- Continuous Improvement: Leverage CRM tools and applications to drive ongoing operational enhancements.
- Self-Starter and Coach: Take initiative on projects, collaborate effectively, and mentor team members to ensure success.
- Strategic Thinking: Contribute to strategic vision and adapt sales and support strategies to meet customer needs effectively.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with all AEs in the region to mitigate customer service issues (60% -70% of the job).
- Communicate to physicians and staff on the value of the entire prostate cancer suite of tests and interpretation
- Drive pull-through of Myriad portfolio of Urology testing
- Provide In-Service training to office staff
- Work closely with Customers and Myriad sales colleagues and support personnel to provide the highest level of customer support and satisfaction
- Train clinical staff on protocols, pathways and any workflow processes as determined by customer for field sales colleagues
- Regularly manage test cancellations, order issues and delays in test ordering
- Evaluate customer sites and analyze real-time current state testing and test ordering effectiveness
- Work with local pathology and phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition
- Schedule local talks and arranging peer to peer programs to groups that want to learn more
- Must meet expense budget and administrative requirements
- Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
- Must update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging and strategic/tactical information
- Attend regional meetings and Urology conferences as planned
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
- 1+ years of sales support experience preferred, preferably in biotech, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
- Excellent presentation, training, coaching, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strong interpersonal skills: active listening, coaching, advising, problem-solving, and facilitation.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable engaging customers remotely and in person.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
- proficient in Excel preferred.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient privacy regulations preferred.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and driving record meeting Myriad's policy standards.
- Ability to model and live corporate values and professional ethics.
Physical Requirements Lifting Requirements - sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III - normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
