Safety Coordinator - West

Description:

Eclipse Advantage is looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic Safety Coordinator Specialist who help oversee, evaluate, and implement our safety program and policies in our locations on the West Coast, including Arizona. You will play a critical role in ensuring workplace safetyand compliance across multiple client sites, and involves frequent travel to facilities with responsibilities including conducting safety inspections, implementing OSHA and industrial hygiene standards, as well as providing technical expertise to support a safe working environment. You must be able to balance hands-on fieldwork with administrative duties, working independently to identify and solve safety challenges while maintaining strong client relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and overnight, is essential to meet the operational needs of the business.

This is a remote role, but the candidate must be able to travel approximately 90% of the time, and be located in the West, including Arizona.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at various client sites
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industrial hygiene standards, and company safety policies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on safety and health matters to support independent work.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to influence and implement safety improvements.
  • Facilitate productive discussions among employees and management to promote safe workplace practices.
  • Manage extensive travel schedules, including evenings and overnight shifts, to multiple facilities.
  • Draft inspection reports to document findings and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Balance on-site safety responsibilities with administrative tasks such as reporting and training.
  • Proactively identify and resolve safety issues to support business operations and customer service.
  • Monitor compliance with established safety procedures and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and schedule training sessions on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Develop and implement inspection policies, procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Review current safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates as needed.
  • Conduct or facilitate employee training on applicable safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Request and collect employee feedback and suggestions on safety procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement new safety outreach and education strategies to enhance workplace safety culture.
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support overall safety program effectiveness.
Job Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Demonstrable experience of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with public speaking ability a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (85-90% travel), primarily in the West including Arizona.
  • Located in the West, including Arizona.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a staffing environment.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and proactive decision-making.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends as required by client site schedules.
  • Comfortable multitasking administrative duties while on the road, including working remotely from hotels, airports, or client sites.
