About the Opportunity / Role: We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager - Corporate, ASC 740 & Tax Provision to support a diverse portfolio of corporate clients (private and public) with income tax accounting and compliance needs.

• Hiring: Tax Manager + Senior Manager - Corporate, ASC740, Tax Provision Exp
• Locations: Irvine | San Diego | Las Vegas | Portland | Seattle
• Schedule: Hybrid Flex (2 days in office weekly) or Remote Flexibility (TBD)

In this role, you will:

• Lead and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including effective tax rate (ETR), deferred taxes, and uncertain tax positions
• Support income tax accounting for SEC reporting, financial statements, and related disclosures
• Oversee and review federal and state income tax returns, estimates, and extensions
• Partner with client finance and accounting teams to improve provision processes, controls, and data quality
• Assist with transaction-related tax accounting (acquisitions, restructurings, equity compensation, etc.)
• Coordinate with external auditors, respond to audit requests, and ensure timely, accurate deliverables
• Identify planning opportunities, process efficiencies, and risk areas and communicate them clearly to leadership
• Mentor, train, and review work of junior team members, contributing to a strong, growth-focused team culture
• This is a high-visibility role with direct access to partners and senior leadership, offering a clear path for career progression.

Qualifications / Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5-10+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax and ASC 740/tax provision, ideally a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or strong regional) and/or corporate tax
• Strong technical proficiency in:
• ASC 740 income tax accounting
• Deferred tax calculations and ETR
• FIN 48 / uncertain tax positions
• Federal and state income tax compliance
• Proven experience reviewing provision workpapers, tax returns, and related schedules
• Comfortable working with large data sets, tax software, and financial systems
• Excellent communication skills - able to break down complex tax concepts into clear, actionable guidance for finance and executive stakeholders
• Strong project management skills; able to handle multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities
• CPA preferred (or equivalent such as MST/JD with strong tax background)

What's Offered (Competitive Full Package - National)

• Base Salary Ranges (DOE): Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager based on experience, scope, and interview performance.
• Tax Manager: $125,000 - $155,000 per year
• Senior Tax Manager: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
• Annual performance-based bonus opportunities
