This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a modern, employee-centric workers' compensation defense law firm. Our client seeks experienced attorneys who can manage a reduced caseload to ensure the best results for their clients. Accountabilities

    • Handle a caseload of workers' compensation defense cases with dedicated support staff.
    • Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies.
    • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and appeals.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
    • Assess claims and negotiate settlements effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws.
    • Participate in mediation and dispute resolution.
    • Maintain strong client relationships through collaboration.
Requirements
    • Strong knowledge of California Worker's Compensation law.
    • 2 - 10 years of experience in workers' compensation defense litigation.
    • Ability to work independently and remotely.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Admission in good standing to the State Bar of California.
    • Experience taking and defending depositions.
    • Experience in all WC hearings.
    • Preparation of cases for trial appearances.
