Saunders Staffing is currently recruiting an Assistant Slitter Operator to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role assists with the setup and operation of slitting machinery to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently and in accordance with customer specifications.
Position SummaryThe Assistant Slitter Operator supports the Slitter Operator in the setup, loading, adjustment, operation, and unloading of slitting machines. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, accuracy, and safety while meeting production schedules.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Slitter Operator with machine setup, loading, adjusting, operation, and unloading to ensure quality, on-time production
• Maintain accuracy and traceability throughout customer orders
• Ensure customer specifications are followed for each order
• Accurately weigh finished products
• Palletize materials according to customer specifications
• Cut, label, and properly identify rework material
• Maintain proper safety procedures and housekeeping standards at all times
• Serve as Slitter Operator in their absence when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
