JOB SUMMARY
Manage and develop programming and credentiallingrelated to the League of American Bicyclist Bike Friendly University (BFU) and the Green Recognition of Offices and Workspaces (GROW)
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Duties may include:
• Develop an action plan and move projects forward based on the results and recommendations
from our most recent League of American Bicyclist: Bike Friendly University application,
• Lead 1-2 Structured bike rides for the campus community
• Manage and update the university's biking Webpage and other social media,
• Serve as the Office of Sustainability main contact for campus bike share program,
Identify opportunities related to this program
• Develop and administer bike & sustainable transportation surveys to understands opinions of
the campus on these issues
• Analyze EV charging station and make recommendations for improvements relating to current
and future EV Stations and rate plans,
• Administer the GROW program
Recruit new offices and identify opportunities for expansion of the program
- Manage and update website related to GROW program
- Work with Central Stores to cont. to expand sustainable inventory options
QUALIFICATIONS In addition to the general qualifications for all UW-Stevens Point student employees, students must maintain good academic standing and enrollment of at least 12 (or more) undergraduate credits with UWSP and be in good academic standing with the University (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.5 or better), the Sustainable Transportation and Education Outreach Coordinator must:
- Must be confident with biking on the streets and leading group bike rides
- be competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and database programs,
- experience in using social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
- be detail oriented
- possess organizational and time-management skills,
- possess oral and written communication skills,
- be a problem-solver
- have a good understanding of sustainability principles, and
- be able to work independently on assigned tasks.
If you are a work study student, this position must be your primary work study position. If you are interested in working an additional study job during your employment, you must first receive permission from your supervisor.
Student employees must adhere to the University of Wisconsin System Operational Policy relating to student employment and compliance with the Affordable Care Act.
This position requires 10 hours per week for 15 weeks during an academic semester (adjusted based on start date). Employee is placed on a probationary period for the first four (4) weeks of employment.
BASE WAGE: $13.00
