Functions under the direction of an occupational therapist in planning and carrying out prescribed occupational therapy treatment to facilitate the rehabilitation of mentally or physically handicapped patients. Implements treatment plans and selects modalities to meet specific established goals. Conducts or assists with patient activities and maintains appropriate records. Assists in the evaluation of patient progress and discharge planning. Job Description:Education: Required: Associates degree or higher level degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) Licensure/ Certification: Required: Licensed by OT Board of the State of California; American Heart Association BLS Experience: Preferred: Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) or healthcare experience.
