Part-Time Public Safety DispatcherThe City of Cathedral City is accepting applications for Part-Time Public Safety Dispatcher. Applications will be reviewed as submitted. The Public Safety Dispatcher is an at-will, hourly part-time position. The position works less than 960 hours in a fiscal year. Under general supervision, the Public Safety Dispatcher receives 911 system emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatches assignments according to established police procedures, operates various telecommunications center equipment and performs related work as assigned.Training and Experience Any combination of training and experience that provides the above listed knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way of qualifying would be:Equivalent to graduation from high schoolOne (1) year of public safety dispatch experienceMust possess California P.O.S.T.
